about

i spent way too long on this

originally this started out as a conceptual album for an unmade video game: a sort of survival shmup where the player faces an endless onslaught. You can think of each song as a stage or a different location, with the first track as the title screen, the interlude as a cutscene, and the final track as the credits. The story can be up to interpretation. :^)

at some point along the way it became more than that, with leitmotifs and a central melody and EDM+chiptune fusions and channeling my own frustrations with the process of making music. My style is and probably always will be inconsistent and "weird" and "journey-like." Probably because I still don't know what the hell I'm doing (never learned proper music theory, though that might change soon). Right now, I just need to move on. Even if these songs aren't perfect. Because they never will be. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I'm happy with just being an amateur at this stuff and doing it for fun.

so here's an album about the creative journey/process. and depression.
